Oil Seal TC 30 52 10 – GW42 Bar Bending Machine Spare

This is the TC 30 52 10 oil seal for the GW42 bar bending machine — 30 mm inner diameter × 52 mm outer diameter × 10 mm width, spring-loaded multi-lip construction. It keeps gearbox oil in and site dust out, and is replaced when it starts to weep.

What it does and when to replace it

A bar bending machine drives its bending table through a gearbox, and that gearbox has to stay filled with oil while the shaft passing through it rotates under load. The oil seal is what makes that possible — a spring-loaded rubber lip riding on the shaft, holding oil on one side and keeping dust, grit and cement dust on the other. The multi-lip construction adds a second barrier specifically against contamination, which matters on a rebar yard where airborne dust is constant.

Replace the seal when you see oil weeping or collecting around the shaft, when the gearbox oil level drops without an obvious cause, or when the seal lip is visibly hardened, cracked or perished. A failed seal is a small part causing a large problem: losing oil or letting grit into the gearbox damages bearings and gears that cost far more than the seal.
