What it does and how it is used

A rebar tying machine feeds wire around the intersection of two bars, twists it tight and cuts it — one knot per trigger pull. The wire is the consumable that makes this possible, and its gauge matters: 0.8 mm is the balance point between strength and flexibility. Thinner wire would snap during the twist; thicker wire would resist forming a tight knot and slow the tool down.

At 110 m per coil, each reload covers a long run of ties before the operator has to stop and change it. On a large slab or mat, reload time is a real part of the working day, so coil length matters as much as wire quality. Keep spare coils on site — running out mid-pour stops the tying crew entirely.
