Mini Crane 1 Ton – Monkey Hoist, 30m Lift, 5.5HP Single Phase
Mini Crane 1 Ton – Monkey Hoist, 30m Lift, 5.5HP Single Phase
The 1 Ton Mini Crane is an electric single-phase hoist that lifts up to 1,000 kg to a height of 30 m on a 7 mm wire rope. Also called a monkey hoist, it mounts at the working level and lifts material up the outside of a building — the standard way to get cement, steel and tools to upper floors without a tower crane. 4 kW (5.5 HP) motor on ordinary 220 V single-phase supply.
Key specifications at a glance
- Rated capacity: 1 ton (1,000 kg)
- Maximum lifting height: 30 m
- Motor: Jamshedji 4 kW / 5.5 HP, 220 V single phase
- Wire rope diameter: 7 mm

Why a mini crane on a building site
Material has to get to the working level, and on most Indian sites that is not a tower crane job — a tower crane is capital, footprint and erection time that a mid-rise or a redevelopment plot cannot justify. The alternative is carrying material up by hand, which is slow, labour-heavy and the reason material handling so often becomes the bottleneck rather than the work itself.
A mini crane sits between those two. It is small enough to mount on a slab edge or scaffold and run off ordinary single-phase power, but it lifts a full tonne and reaches 30 m — roughly ten floors. That covers the actual lifting most buildings need: cement bags, rebar bundles, shuttering, tiles, tools and equipment, moved up continuously through the working day by one operator instead of a chain of labourers.
Which mini crane to choose
Both models reach the same 30 m and both run on single-phase supply. The difference is what you need to lift in one go.
- This 1 ton model — 5.5 HP motor, 7 mm wire rope, 320 kg. For heavier loads: bundled rebar, full pallets, equipment.
- 500 kg mini crane — 4 HP motor, 6 mm wire rope, 250 kg. Lighter machine for lighter loads, easier to shift between positions.
The heavier rope and motor are what carry the extra capacity, so match the machine to the heaviest single load you actually lift rather than the average.
Applications
Multi-storey construction and redevelopment, lifting cement, rebar, shuttering, tiles and tools to upper floors, warehouse and industrial material handling, and loading or unloading where a fixed lifting point is useful.

Frequently asked questions
How much can the 1 ton mini crane lift?
1,000 kg rated capacity, to a maximum height of 30 m.
What is a monkey hoist?
Another name for a mini crane — a compact electric hoist mounted at the working level to lift material up the outside of a building.
Does it need three-phase power?
No — it runs on 220 V single-phase supply, which is what most sites and floors already have.
How is it different from the 500 kg model?
Both reach 30 m on single-phase power. This one has a 5.5 HP motor and 7 mm rope for 1 ton loads; the 500 kg model has a 4 HP motor and 6 mm rope and is lighter to reposition.
How many floors does 30 m cover?
Roughly ten floors, depending on floor-to-floor height.
Is it sold with a GST invoice?
Yes — supplied with a GST invoice, dispatched F.O.R. Pune across India.
