The Jamshedji electric concrete cutter is a walk-behind floor saw driven by a 7.5 kW (10 HP) three-phase motor, taking blades from 350 to 500 mm and cutting to a maximum depth of 180 mm. It cuts expansion joints, control joints, trench lines and repair patches in concrete and asphalt. Being electric it produces no exhaust and runs quieter than a petrol saw, so it can be used inside buildings, basements and enclosed areas. Weight is 125 kg, with a 35 litre water tank for wet cutting.

Electric or petrol — how to choose

Jamshedji supplies this cutter in two forms, and the blade size and cutting depth are the same on both. The choice comes down to the power supply where you are working.

Take this electric machine when the site has a three-phase supply. It costs less to run than petrol, needs no fuel handling on site, runs quieter, and produces no exhaust — which is what makes it the only option for indoor slabs, basements, plant rooms and enclosed areas.

Take the petrol concrete groove cutter for roads, highways, external works and remote locations with no electricity, where a trailing cable is impractical.
