Unit price / perThe JBB42A is a 415 V three-phase electric bar bending machine that bends deformed TMT bars from 6 mm to 32 mm, with both automatic and manual bending operated from the foot paddle. Built by Jamshedji Constro Equip at MIDC Bhosari, Pune, it is the panel-controlled machine in the 32 mm class: the operator can run repeat bends automatically to a preset angle, or take manual control from the same paddle when a one-off bend is needed. Weight is 380 kg on a 850 × 790 × 900 mm footprint.
Key specifications at a glance
- Bar capacity: 6–32 mm deformed / TMT bar
- Control: automatic and manual, both from the foot paddle
- Panel: heavy-duty control panel
- Motor: 3 kW (4 HP), 1440 rpm, three-phase
- Power supply: 415 V, 3-phase
- Weight: 380 kg
Automatic and manual from one paddle
This is what separates the JBB42A. In automatic mode the machine completes the bend to the preset angle and returns on its own, so an operator working through a long cutting list of identical stirrups or cranks holds a steady rhythm without resetting between bars. Switching to manual on the same paddle gives direct control for odd bends, corrections and setting-out work. On a site producing high volumes of repeat shapes, the automatic cycle is where the time is saved; on varied work, the manual mode means you are not fighting a machine built only for repetition.
The heavy-duty control panel is specified to survive site conditions — dust, vibration and knocks are what kill control gear on a bar bending yard, not the bending itself.
JBB42A or GW42?
Mechanically these are the same machine. Both bend 6–32 mm deformed bar, both run the same 3 kW motor and the same gearbox, both are Jamshedji-built, and both share the same outer body — which is why the photographs look alike. The difference is entirely in the panel and the functioning.
The GW42 bar bending machine is our highest-selling model and the common choice on most RCC sites: proven, straightforward, in use across thousands of projects. The JBB42A adds automatic and manual operation from the paddle plus the heavy-duty control panel, which is what you want in a fabrication yard or on a project running long repetitive bar bending schedules. Same bending capability, different way of driving it. For bar above 32 mm, both are replaced by the GW50 (6–40 mm).

Frequently asked questions
What does the automatic function on the JBB42A do?
It completes the bend to a preset angle and returns automatically, so the operator can work through repeat shapes without resetting between bars. Manual control is available from the same paddle for one-off bends.
What is the difference between the JBB42A and the GW42?
The panel and the functioning. Both bend 6–32 mm deformed bar, run the same 3 kW motor and gearbox, are Jamshedji-built and share the same outer body. The JBB42A adds automatic and manual operation from the paddle plus a heavy-duty control panel. The GW42 is the standard, highest-selling model used on most RCC sites.
Why do the JBB42A and GW42 look the same in photographs?
Because the outer body is the same casting on both machines. The difference is the control panel and how the machine is operated, not the frame.
What power supply does the JBB42A need?
415 V three-phase, driving a 3 kW motor at 1440 rpm. Confirm the site panel or DG set can carry the starting load before delivery.
Can it bend 40 mm bar?
No. The JBB42A is rated to 32 mm. For 36 mm and 40 mm bar, use the GW50.
How heavy is the JBB42A?
380 kg, 850 × 790 × 900 mm overall. It is moved with a chain pulley block, mini crane or hydraulic pallet truck and needs no fixed foundation.
