CNC Automatic Stirrup Bending Machine – 4 to 10mm, 1800/hr
CNC Automatic Stirrup Bending Machine – 4 to 10mm, 1800/hr
The Jamshedji CNC automatic stirrup bending machine pulls wire from coil, straightens it, bends it to programmed angles and shears it automatically, producing 1,500–1,800 stirrups per hour. It handles 4–10 mm single strand or 4–8 mm double strand, bends ±180° bi-directionally, and runs on 15 kW of servo drive under PLC control with a touchscreen panel. Built for reinforcement processing hubs, large real-estate projects and precast yards. Weight is 1,800 kg.

What changes when stirrups come off a CNC machine
Stirrups are the highest-volume item on almost every bar bending schedule and the most repetitive to make by hand. A manual ring bender needs an operator to measure, position and bend each leg, and the output is only as consistent as that operator is at the end of a long shift. Cover blocks out by a few millimetres on a stirrup mean cover problems in the finished column.
This machine takes the shape from the program instead. Closed-loop servos hold ±1 mm on length and ±1° on angle, so the thousandth stirrup matches the first. At 1,500–1,800 per hour it replaces a bench of manual benders, and because the PLC stores over 500 shapes, switching from one link type to another is a menu selection rather than a re-setup.
Feeding from coil rather than cut lengths also removes the offcut waste that comes with fixed-length bar — the same economics that justify a decoiler, applied to the highest-volume item in the yard.
Key features
- Closed-loop servo feed and bend, accurate to ±1 mm length and ±1° angle
- PLC interface storing 500+ stirrup shapes for instant changeover
- High-speed hydraulic shear cuts without deforming the bar end
- Double-line infeed bends two coils at once up to 8 mm, doubling output on small rings
- ±180° bi-directional bending for complex link geometry
- 15 kW high-torque servo drive package
- 1,800 kg high-rigidity frame holds accuracy at full production speed
Where it fits in the fabrication yard
The CNC stirrup bender works directly from coil, so it pairs naturally with coil handling — see the bar decoiling and straightening machine for producing straight cut lengths from the same stock.
For lower volumes or occasional ring work, the manual TMT bar ring making machine (up to 16 mm) covers the job without the capital outlay. Larger-diameter bar that cannot be run as coil goes to a GW42 bar bending machine or, for automatic paddle-controlled repeat bends, the JBB42A. Spiral reinforcement for round columns and piles is made on the rebar spiral bending machine.

Frequently asked questions
How many stirrups can a CNC stirrup bender produce per hour?
1,500 to 1,800 per hour on single strand. Running double-line infeed on wire up to 8 mm effectively doubles output on smaller rings.
What wire sizes does it handle?
4 mm to 10 mm on single strand, and 4 mm to 8 mm when bending two coils simultaneously.
How accurate are the finished stirrups?
Within ±1 mm on length and ±1° on angle, held by closed-loop servo control. That consistency is what keeps cover correct in the finished column.
How many shapes can it store?
Over 500 geometries in the PLC, so changing from one link type to another is a selection on the touchscreen rather than a machine re-setup.
Does it work from coil or from cut bar?
From coil. It decoils, straightens, bends and shears in one continuous operation, which also avoids the offcut waste that comes with fixed-length bar.
When is a manual ring making machine the better choice?
At lower volumes, or where ring work is occasional rather than continuous. The manual ring making machine handles bar up to 16 mm without the capital outlay of a CNC line.
