The Jamshedji ring making machine bends 6 mm to 16 mm TMT bar into closed rings and stirrups on a 2.2 kW (3 HP) 220 V single phase electric motor with magnet sensor control. It is the manual-load alternative to a CNC line for yards that make stirrups in moderate volume — a real machine at a real fraction of the price, running on ordinary mains rather than a three-phase supply. Weight 90 kg, 800 × 500 × 830 mm footprint.

Key specifications at a glance

  • TMT bar capacity: 6–16 mm (round bar to 20 mm)
  • Motor: 2.2 kW / 3 HP
  • Voltage: 220 V single phase
  • Bending speed: 25 rpm
  • Weight: 90 kg
  • Dimensions: 800 × 500 × 830 mm

When a ring making machine is the right choice

Stirrups are the highest-volume item on any bar bending schedule, but not every yard needs the full-CNC answer. On sites producing a few hundred rings a day, a CNC stirrup bender is more machine than the job requires — and it needs a three-phase supply and space for coil handling that a smaller yard does not have.

The ring making machine solves that. It takes cut lengths of 6–16 mm bar and forms the closed loop with magnet sensor control setting the stop point, so ring after ring comes out to the same shape and size. Rings for beams, columns, footings and precast are all made the same way; the operator changes the setting for the ring dimensions, not the machine.

Running on ordinary 220 V single phase is what makes it site-deployable. The rebar tying machine works next to it in the same yard.

Key features

  • 6–16 mm TMT bending covers the standard stirrup diameter range
  • Magnet sensor control gives a repeatable stop position — rings come out consistent
  • 2.2 kW/3 HP motor sustained enough for full-day stirrup production
  • 220 V single phase — runs on ordinary site mains, no three-phase panel required
  • 150 × 25 mm disc and hardened alloy fixed/movable blades for reliable bending
  • 90 kg at 800 × 500 mm — lifts onto a pickup and relocates between projects
  • Made in Pune with spares available from the works

Where it fits in the fabrication yard

The ring making machine sits alongside the rest of the rebar line. Straight bar for the ring is cut on a GQ45 bar cutting machine, and finished rings are tied into cages with a rebar tying machine.

For higher volume ring production — 1,500 to 1,800 stirrups per hour — see the CNC automatic stirrup bending machine, which works directly from coil. For crank and hook bends on larger bar, the GW42 bar bending machine covers up to 32 mm. Helical spirals for circular columns and pile cages are made on the rebar spiral bending machine.

Applications

  • Column and beam stirrups for RCC structures
  • Footing and pile cap ring reinforcement
  • Precast element production
  • Small and mid-size fabrication yards, mid-volume site production
  • Repair and refurbishment work where portability matters

Frequently asked questions

What bar sizes does the ring making machine handle?

6 mm to 16 mm TMT bar, or up to 20 mm round bar — the working range for standard column, beam and footing stirrups.

Ring making machine or CNC stirrup bender — which do I need?

Volume decides it. This machine suits yards making a few hundred rings a day and runs on ordinary 220 V single phase. A CNC stirrup bender produces 1,500–1,800 per hour from coil, needs three-phase power, and pays for itself only where that volume is genuinely needed.

What does the magnet sensor do?

It controls the stop position of the bending cycle, so every ring comes out to the same shape and size. Consistency is what keeps stirrup dimensions matching the drawing.

What power supply does it need?

Ordinary 220 V single phase. No three-phase connection or generator is required, which is the main practical advantage over higher-volume machines.

Can it be moved between sites?

Yes. At 90 kg and 800 × 500 mm footprint it lifts onto a pickup and relocates without special handling, which suits contractors moving between projects.

Do you supply spares?

Yes. Blades, disc and control components are stocked at the Bhosari works and dispatched on request.
