Concrete Vibrator Needle 50mm x 4m – General Slabs
Concrete Vibrator Needle 50mm x 4m – General Slabs
This is the 50 mm × 4 m needle for a concrete vibrator — the poker head and 4 metre flexible shaft that attaches to a needle vibrator drive and goes into the wet concrete. It is the same general-purpose 50 mm diameter as the 6 m needle, but with a shorter 4 m shaft that is easier to handle on shallower slab work where the full 6 m reach is not needed.
Fits
This needle attaches to the Jamshedji needle vibrator drives — the 7.5 HP petrol, 6 HP petrol and 3 HP single-phase electric drives, all of which accept 50 mm dies. The portable 950 W and 1300 W units have their own integrated needle and do not take a separate one. Send your drive model on WhatsApp if you need the coupling confirmed.
What it does and which pour it suits
The needle is the working end of a vibrator system: the drive spins it, and its high-frequency vibration liquefies the surrounding concrete so trapped air rises out and the mix flows tight around the bars. It is a wear part — head and shaft abrade in wet concrete and are replaced when the head wears or the shaft stiffens or fails.
The 50 mm diameter is the workhorse size for general slabs, beams and foundations. This 4 m shaft length is the one to choose when you are working shallower sections and slabs — a shorter hose is lighter and easier to manoeuvre than the 6 m, which comes into its own only on deeper pours and columns. Same head, so the same consolidation; you are simply matching the reach to the depth.
Needle sizes in the range
- 35 mm × 6 m — congested rebar, narrow sections, thin walls
- 50 mm × 4 m (this needle) and 50 mm × 6 m — general slabs and beams
- 60 mm × 4 m and 60 mm × 6 m — heavier mass concrete
- 70 mm × 6 m — the largest pours

Frequently asked questions
Which drive does this needle fit?
The Jamshedji 7.5 HP and 6 HP petrol drives and the 3 HP single-phase electric drive, all of which take 50 mm dies. The portable 950 W and 1300 W units have their own built-in needle.
4 m or 6 m — which 50 mm needle do I need?
The 4 m is lighter and easier to handle on shallower slabs and sections; the 6 m reaches deeper pours and columns. Same 50 mm head on both — choose by how deep you need to reach.
When should I use a 50 mm needle?
For general slabs, beams and foundations. Step down to 35 mm for congested rebar, or up to 60–70 mm for heavy mass concrete.
Is the needle a wear part?
Yes. Head and flexible shaft abrade in wet concrete over time — replace when the head is worn or the shaft stiffens or fails.
What is the price of a 50 mm × 4 m vibrator needle?
Send your drive model on WhatsApp for current pricing and freight.
