This is the 50 mm × 6 m needle for a concrete vibrator — the poker head and 6 metre flexible shaft that attaches to a needle vibrator drive and goes into the wet concrete. What it does and which pour it suits
The needle is the working end of a vibrator system: the drive spins it, and its high-frequency vibration liquefies the surrounding concrete so trapped air rises out and the mix flows tight around the bars. The needle is a wear part — head and shaft abrade in wet concrete and are replaced when the head wears or the shaft stiffens or fails.
The 50 mm diameter is the workhorse size for general concreting: standard slabs, beams and foundations where the reinforcement is not so congested that you need a slim 35 mm head, but the pour is not so massive that a 60–70 mm head is worth it. It covers a wider radius per insertion than the 35 mm, so it consolidates open concrete faster. The 6 m shaft length suits deeper sections and columns; a 4 m version is available for shallower work.
